DMS 111 Scanning Lab III

Provides laboratory practice in advanced ultrasound imaging. Reinforces professional expectations of the student sonographer and covers proper body mechanics and ultrasound imaging protocols.  Orients the student to imaging body habitus and transverse, longitudinal, and coronal scanning planes. Instructs on the operation of ultrasound equipment. Trains the student to perform abdominal Doppler, pediatric, musculoskeletal, lung, and superficial structure sonograms. R, W1, M2, 12 (2 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.

DMS 106 with a minimum grade of 'C' and DMS 201 with a minimum grade of 'C'

Corequisite

DMS 107 and DMS 200 and DMS 203 - must be taken at the same time as this course.
