DMS 102 Abdominal Sonography I

This is the first of a two-course sequence providing an in-depth study of abdominal sonographic imaging. Covered are scanning guidelines and pathophysiology of the liver, gallbladder, biliary system, pancreas, spleen, and urinary system. Emphasis is placed on clinical signs and symptoms, sonographic findings, and proper documentation of pathology.  R, W1, M2, 12 (2 lecture hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.

DMS 101 with a minimum grade of 'C' and DMS 104 with a minimum grade of 'C' and DMS 105 with a minimum grade of 'C' and DMS 110 with a minimum grade of 'C'

Corequisite

DMS 103, DMS 108, and DMS 109 - must be taken at the same time as this course.
