External Credit

To request credit recognition for passing a state or national exam, contact the department dean or associate dean responsible for the program discipline in which credit is requested. A $50 processing fee per course is required.

Advanced Standing

Placement testing and other evaluations assist students in determining their entry level in disciplines such as music and world languages.

Students who intend to pursue coursework in languages other than English should contact LLCC Testing to complete the placement test prior to the start of the applicable term. Music students may demonstrated Fundamentals of Music proficiency by passing a music theory placement exam. Contact Humanities, Arts, Communication and English for additional guidance. 

 

Credit for Military School Training

Upon request, LLCC will review military training in accordance with the American Council on Education guidelines and award college credit accordingly. Training courses completed in the Armed Forces that are applicable to the student's curriculum will be accepted for credit when official documentation is submitted to LLCC Records. Ordering information varies based on the branch of service.
