CVS 115 Cardiovascular Scanning Lab II

This course provides laboratory practice in the basics of cardiac ultrasound imaging. Students are Introduced to professional expectations of the student sonographer and proper procedures and body mechanics for echocardiography exams. Topics include patient body habitus considerations, scanning planes, and imaging windows in addition to the operation of ultrasound equipment to perform cardiac sonograms. R, W1, M2, 12 (4 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.

DMS 108 and CVS 114 - must be taken at the same time as this course
