CVS 113 Cardiovascular Scanning Lab I

This course provides laboratory practice in the basics of cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging. Students are introduced to the professional expectations of the student sonographer and proper procedures and body mechanics for cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams. Topics include patient body habitus considerations, scanning planes, and imaging windows in addition to the operation of ultrasound equipment to perform cardiac and vascular sonograms. R, W1, M2, 12 (6 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
