MLT 104 Microbiology for Medical Laboratory Technician
Students will explore microorganisms important to health care. Topics include microbial characteristics, genetics, growth and metabolism, mechanisms of disease transmission, immunity, antimicrobial treatment and resistance, a survey of pathogenic microbes and prevention of microbial disease. Clinical applications will be emphasized. R, W1, M2, 12 (3 lecture hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
Prerequisite
MLT 102 with a minimum grade of “C” and
MLT 103 with a minimum grade of “C”
Corequisite
MLT 201 must be taken at the same time as this course
