DMS 211 Vascular Ultrasound

This course expands upon the information and scanning experience gained in DMS 200.  Students will have the opportunity to review vascular anatomy and physiology, hemodynamics, and principles of Doppler imaging.  Emphasis will be placed on arterial and venous peripheral and visceral sonography and students will gain exposure to non-imaging vascular testing.   The lab component focuses on cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, peripheral venous, and abdominal Doppler examinations.  R, W1, M2, 12 (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
