DMS 210 Vascular Ultrasound Field Work I

This course is the first in a sequence of three Level II placements which provide supervised clinical experience in vascular ultrasound. These courses offer opportunities for registered sonographers to apply concepts and skills learned in prior and concurrent coursework and to expand their ultrasound skill set to include vascular technology. Students are expected to participate in all aspects of the vascular sonography profession including patient care, ultrasound imaging, and exam documentation. Students practice scanning and procedures at a clinical site for 10 hours per week for a total of 160 hours. R, W1, M2, 12 (10 clinical hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
