CSC 141 Introduction to Linux Operating Systems
This course familiarizes students with Linux operating system fundamentals with a focus on security. It covers a full range of command-line and shell activities including managing accounts, developing account security policies, setting file permissions, and managing storage. Topics also include scripting and automation, networking configuration, security issues such as software management, security policies, footprinting, firewalls, and intrusion detection. 12 (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
