SOC 203 Social Organization of Work and Employment
This course examines the past, present and future of work to give a basic understanding of the analysis of occupational activities from several sociological perspectives. The course focuses on such areas as: implications for gender, class and race, technology, globalization, industries, professions, organizations and future trends. Students examine work from a societal, organizational and individual point of view. R, W1, 11 (3 lecture hours)
