HRT 150 Fundamentals of Beekeeping
Introduces students to the fundamental aspects of beekeeping, including honeybee biology, essential equipment, primary products, and threats to domestic populations and hives. Emphasis is on sustainable methods of hive management and finding solution to common apiculture challenges. 12 (3 lecture hours, 2 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
Prerequisite
High school biology with a grade of C or better OR a college-level biology course.
