WIT 220 Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics and 3D printing

This course provides a comprehensive overview of and focuses on the methodology of Robotics and 3D printing. Topics to include robot history and fundamentals, robot classification, power sources, robot applications in the workplace, robot control techniques, path control, end of arm tooling, robot operation, robot controllers and basic robot troubleshooting. This course also introduces 3D printing technologies including history and basics of 3D printing, currently available 3D printing methods and materials as well as current and emerging applications of 3D printing. 12 (3 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
