SGT 105 Principles of Asepsis
This course discusses microorganisms and how they relate to infection. It also discusses the principles of asepsis, sterilization and disinfection and surgical conscience. Wound healing is also presented. 12 (2 lecture hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
Prerequisite
Admission to the Surgical Technology program and
HLT 109 with a minimum grade of 'C'
Corequisite
SGT 101 - must be taken at the same time as this course.

BIO 175 and
CMN 101 and
EGL 101 - must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
