JRN 210 Principles of News Editing
This course covers the techniques of editing. Included in this course is the study of staff organization, editing theory and techniques, editing wire service copy, photo editing, cutline writing and headline function and writing. The problems of libel receives attention, and emphases are placed upon taste and ethics. This course also gives attention to production methods, layout design and copy flow.
