DMS 104 Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation I
This is the first of a two-course sequence providing an in-depth study of ultrasound physics and instrumentation. Covered are the basic principles of sound wave generation, propagation, and interaction with media, transducers and sound beams, Doppler, pulse echo instruments and imaging, and related quality assurance and artifacts. R, W1, M2, 12 (3 lecture hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
