GEG 106 Extreme and Hazardous Weather
Introduction to the causes and impacts of severe and hazardous weather. Emphasis is on weather terminology, including temperature, air pressure, wind, moisture, climate change, weather forecasting, and midlatitude cyclones, as well as severe and hazardous weather types. Severe weather topics include thunderstorms, lightning, hail, tornadoes, floods, drought, blizzards, ice storms, cold and heat waves, fire weather, tropical cyclones, and El Nino/La Nina.
