Program Information:

Biology is the natural science concerned with the study of living organisms and their structures, functions, growth, origins, evolution, and distribution.

The A.S. in Pre-Med and Health Professions Biology offers students a rigorous introduction into the discipline and prepares them for transfer into a baccalaureate program.

 

About this program:

  • An introduction to biology with an emphasis on humans, society, and physical sciences.
  • Appropriate for students interested in transferring into pre-chiropractic, pre-dental, pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary*, or other pre-health programs at four-year institutions.
  • An Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) compatible degree.
  • Can be customized to meet the requirements of specific transfer institutions.

 

*Students interested in large animal veterinary sciences should consider the A.A. in Agriculture.
