CHE 101 General Chemistry I
This is the first course in a two-semester sequence. Topics covered include measurements, matter, chemical formulae, empirical formulae, chemical equations, stoichiometry, atomic structure, electron configuration, periodic table, molecular geometry, gas laws, enthalpy and calorimetry. Prerequisite
Completion of a college-level math course with a minimum grade of 'C' or appropriate placement score and either
CHE 100 with a minimum grade of 'C' or one year of high school chemistry with a minimum grade of 'C'.
