MCS 223 CPT Coding II
This course is a continuation of MCS 213. Students learn to convert surgical, radiology, pathological, laboratory and medical procedures into five-digit numeric codes. Students are also introduced to HCPCS coding and its place in Medicare coding and billing. R, 12 (3 lecture hours)
Prerequisite
MCS 213 with a minimum grade of 'C'
Prerequisite/Corequisite
MCS 229 - must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
