DMS 104 Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation I

This is the first of a two-course sequence providing an in-depth study of ultrasound physics and instrumentation. Covered are the basic principles of sound wave generation, propagation, and interaction with media; transducers and sound beams; pulse echo instruments and imaging; and signal processing and echo display. R, W1, M2, 12 (3 lecture hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
