CSC 231 Enterprise Network Security and Automation

This is the last of three courses that prepare students to take the Cisco Networking Academy (CCNA) Certification Exam (V7).  In this course the skills and knowledge gained in the first two courses will be applied to the study of wide area networks (WANs) which are large, complex networks.  Topics include advanced network operation and security; OSPF Packets and Operation; Point-to-Point and Multiaccess OSPF Networks; Default Route Propagation; Threat Actor Tools and Malware; IP, TCP and UDP Vulnerabilities; NAT Advantages and Disadvantages; Network Transmission Quality; and Device Discovery with CDP and LLDP. 12 (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
