CRJ 239 Introduction to Forensic Science

This course is a study of collection, identification, preservation and transportation of physical evidence found at crime scenes. This includes the use of DNA, photography, fingerprint examinations, preservation of prints, footprints, toolmark impressions, handwriting, firearms identification, hair, fiber, dust and blood evidence. The importance of laboratory examination and discussion of available facilities are also studied. 11 (3 lecture hours and .5 laboratory hour)
