Program Information:
This program prepares students to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. It enriches students as global and local citizens, enhancing their critical thinking skills, their awareness of human diversity and their understanding of individual, social and historical contexts.
- Students planning to transfer are recommended to verify senior-institution requirements, which vary.
- Students who are planning on teaching in a secondary school are required to have a specified ACT score or to take an alternative test (determined by the State of Illinois) prior to transferring to an upper-division institution. Students should contact their transfer institution for more specific information associated with possible tests required for advancement in that program and for more information associated with this.
