COS 120 Health Literacy I
This course is the first of two courses introducing medical terminology and anatomy/physiology for medical office professionals. Students learn to use and interpret medical terms. They obtain general information on medical procedures, laboratory tests, and prescribed drugs. Topics include basic word structure related to various body systems. Students apply medical terms to a variety of medical records. 12 (2 lecture hours and 2 laboratory hours)
Prerequisite/Corequisite
CSC 105 - must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
