AVI 123 Engine Systems

Students study the different types of induction, airflow, exhaust and thrust reverser systems and their applications. Students develop a working knowledge of baffles, carburetor heat, heat exchanger and superchargers. Different types of instrumentation for the engine, their removal and installation are presented. Students develop a working knowledge of fire protections systems and components including inspections and repair. R, 12 (1 lecture hour and 4 laboratory hours) Note: In addition to tuition, this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.
