FST 204 Fire Tactics and Strategy II
The Tactics and Strategy II course is designed for the fire officer responsible for commanding a fire or emergency scene involving multiple companies. Subject areas include strategic concepts in firefighting, duties and responsibilities of command officers, incident command system (scene, manpower, apparatus and RIT management), multi-company operations, disasters, high-rise operations, critical incident stress, and tactical exercises. This course meets or exceeds Illinois State Fire Marshal requirements for tactics and strategy in the Fire Officer II program. 12 (3 lecture hours) Prerequisite: FST 104 or equivalent with a minimum grade of C
