EGL 201 Survey of British Literature I
This course is the first semester of a two-semester chronological survey of British literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to modern time. Emphasized are the artistic value of literature and an understanding of how history and culture influence the development of literary movements. This course surveys the Anglo-Saxon Period, Middle English Period, the Renaissance, the 17th Century and the Neoclassical Age.
