ASE 071 Adult Secondary Education/Advanced

This course emphasizes critical thinking and analytical skills. Advanced grammar, sentence structure, language use and vocabulary are studied. Persuasive-writing techniques are practiced, as well as both journal and free-style exercises. Advanced reading formats include an introduction to fiction, non-fiction, poetry and drama. Mathematical instruction focuses on developing conceptual skills. Both algebra and geometry are introduced. (4 lecture hours)
