Program Information:

This program prepares students for entry into baccalaureate programs in criminal justice and allied fields. It builds a foundation for a career within the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, corrections, and human services.

  • This program is intended for students planning to earn a transfer degree in the field of criminal justice
  • completion of this course of study provides students with a background in criminal justice (corrections, social work, counseling) sufficient to allow completion of a four-year degree in similar programs.
  • Students planning to transfer are recommended to verify senior-institution requirements, which vary.
  • Students who are enrolled in the Police Academy or are correctional officers may be eligible to receive proficiency credit for CRJ 100, CRJ 130, CRJ 140 and/or CRJ 275. Visit Proficiency Exams for additional information and contact the department below to determine eligibility.
